Paper Drawing Using Crayons

Drawing on a paper is a process to make a visual two-dimensional art using drawing instruments on a paper as a drawing medium. It also means the produced image on the paper. There are several drawing process depends on the drawing instrument. It differs because of the differences of each drawing instruments materials. When we are using crayons, there are two steps of making drawing: making a sketch and coloring.

The sketch is similar to drawing, but as a preliminary. It can be done by using a light color, such as lighter orange or similar. In order to prevent mistakes, the color for sketching must be lighter than common colors that we use for coloring because light colors can be interrupted by darker colors. After we make sure the sketch is as the same as we want to, then we thicken the sketch using darker color, such as black.

The next step of drawing using crayons is coloring the sketch. When we do coloring process, we have to consider the color combination for better result. There are two techniques of coloring, they are blending and shading. Blending is a technique of merging two or more color with different strokes, for example blending darker green with light strokes with yellow with hard strokes resulting greenish yellow. Blending follows the shading technique by using color blending with appropriate color. It represents the placement of the objects on the drawing, for example when drawing a green ball with the light direction from upper left side, we can use color blending (that has already explained) only for the upper right side of the ball.

Drawing on a paper using crayons is easy because it only requires two simple steps and recommended for first-time painter.
